A royal visit sealed four years hard work by 2469 Squadron to get a new headquarters when Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, officially opened the new headquarters.
Members of the squadron had held meetings in temporary premises on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate, but from now on they have a purpose-built centre off Old Vicarage Road, St Thomas.
Prince Edward watched cadet displays on the nearby Cowick Barton Playing Fields before being taken on a tour of the building by cadets.
