OC 2469 Sqn

Welcome to our website.

2469 (Exeter St Thomas) Squadron has been parading in the St Thomas area for over 50 years, and during this time the Air Training Corps has changed, and the squadron has also adjusted and evolved to keep its place in the local community and to maintain its appeal to the local youth of today.

It is our aim to develop the character and personality of cadets, and to imbue them with a sense of self-discipline and a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards the community.  We are also committed to offering organisational and leadership experience and proven team-working skills, all of which will benefit the cadet throughout their entire future life.

As the Commanding Officer it is my responsibility to ensure the squadron meets the challenges set out for us and to ensure cadets are given every opportunity to gain leadership and self-development skills.  All of my staff are dedicated to meeting these same goals, and it is my hope that through visiting this website you will gain an insight into 2469 Squadron, the Air Cadets, and the opportunities we offer to the young people of Exeter.

All cadets get the opportunity to enjoy a large range of stimulating and rewarding activities.   Where else could you learn to fly, visit Royal Air Force Stations, tour foreign countries, play sports, gain your Duke of Edinburgh's Awards, as well as a BTEC in Public Service.  These and much more are readily available to you as a member of the Air Cadets.

Chris Myers
Officer Commanding
2469 (Exeter St Thomas) Squadron
