Isn't it time you expanded your horizons?
Our organisation needs volunteers. |
Joining as an AdultAdult staff have a crucial role to play within the Air Cadet Organisation, as without them the Air Cadets could not offer the vast range of activities it does. As well as helping cadets realise their potential, adult staff can also gain valuable academic qualifications and leadership skills which are highly valued by employers. You do not need to have been a cadet or a member of any armed forces to join. You need to be a minimum of 20 years of age, but there is no upper age limit as a civilian instructor, although uniformed officers retire at 55. If you want an extra challenge and wish to use and develop your leadership skills - and gain qualifications into the bargain - check out the adult recruitment section on the Air Cadet Organisation website. Air Commodore Jon Chitty said: "Quite simply, we give our cadets the opportunity to gain self-confidence and develop strong personal qualities, whilst taking part in exciting and challenging activities. We aim to develop enthusiastic and responsible members of society who strive to succeed in whatever occupation they choose and the results prove we are successful." If you are interested in joining, or want to find out more about us, then come along to the squadron on a parade night (Monday or Thursday) between 1900 and 2100.
We are based on the corner of the Cowick Barton Playing Fields. (Check the address link for a map of our location.) Or you can E-mail us at: 2469@rafac.mod.gov.uk to make further arrangements. | |
